A photo essay by Shawna Nelles
"One Love is a project with orthopedic workshops in Rwanda and Burundi producing free quality prosthetics for amputees in need. Gatera Rudasingwa, from Rwanda, and his Japanese wife Mami Yoshida started the project in 1995 after years of civil war left a staggering number of people without limbs due to landmines and genocide. A restaurant, gift shop and guest house on the premises were developed to help finance the workshop. Gatera, along with most of the people employed at One Love, are also disabled."17 Photos
